The Shining Book Review. Jack Torrance is a sympathetic figure of the novel. Stephen King’s autobiography is obvious in this character. It is a personal novel of the writer as the subjectivity is traced in the portrait of a protagonist who later turns into an antagonist. In Plain View is the second book in the Valley of Choice series. It had been quite a while since I read the first book, but that didnt cause me any problems in picking up where Accidentally Amish left off. However, I would highly recommend that you read the series in order from the beginning, as the books are closely tied togethermore like one.   The Shining is the definitive haunted house story for our modern times, a story as ravaged by the trauma of abuse as by ghosts. The Shining is, in the end, a story about family, and for many that’s the most horrifying place of all. PART TWO. The main character of The Shining is Jack Torrance and he is a writer. Or so we’re told repeatedly.   He is the author of the new book: Death of the Family – True Stories of the Charlatans Who Deceived the World and Broke the Backbone of Our Society. The Superior King Rooms are more spacious rooms that include a comfortable king bed with custom, hand-made bedding; a great view of the surrounding Rocky Mountains, a Jacuzzi tub. The documentary Room has been called a "DIY mashup" of the many theories put forward over the years as interpretations of Stanley Kubricks's horror classic, The Shining.

I recently found what is arguably the most exhaustive. He wrote that the Sheehans’ year-old daughter, Maria, a Wellesley graduate by this point, wore a T-shirt saying, “Daddy’s Book Is Done.” “A Bright Shining Lie” lives on as a lasting.

That book, The Shining, introduced that hotel, the Stanley in Estes Park, Colorado, to an entirely new generation.
