It is a personal novel of the writer as the subjectivity is traced in the portrait of a protagonist who later turns into an antagonist. It had been quite a while since I read the first book, but that didnt cause me any problems in picking up where Accidentally Amish left off. However, I would highly recommend that you read the series in order from the beginning, as the books are closely tied togethermore like one.
